Mirco Patera

Mirco is an ex-banker, business economist and entrepreneur with 30 years of experience in the financial sector.

Following his training as a businessman and banker and after or during his further training as a broker, investment banker and equity sales trader, he worked as a private banker at a major Swiss bank (UBS) in Zurich between 1991 and 1998, at a medium-sized US broker (PaineWebber) in Zurich, London and the USA as a broker from 1999 to 2001 and then from 2001 to 2012 again at a major bank (UBS) in Zurich, London and the USA in investment banking as an equity sales trader.

During his time as a private banker, Mirco was primarily responsible for supporting and advising private clients and for selling banking products, such as funds etc., to the same clientele. In his role first as a broker and then as an investment banker, he was responsible for providing advice, brokering investment ideas and equity analyst reports, as well as for trading securities, primarily for institutional clients but also for wealthy private investors.

Mirco has been an entrepreneur since 2012. Since then he has co-founded various companies and performed various operational functions in the area of finance.

He is a passionate trader and investment banker. His core competences lie in the areas of international securities trading with a focus on equities, ETFs, structured products, bonds, options, warrants and CFDs; creating, brokering and distributing trading and investment ideas and consulting in that context; negotiating with a high-profile international clientele (institutional and private clients) in various languages; knowledge of global financial markets and products; daily dealings and contact with analysts, traders, investors, clients, family offices, private equity firms, etc. In addition to his operational activities in companies in which he holds an interest, he also acts as a consultant and board member in various other companies.
